Canadian Association of Aberdeen (CAA)
Events

Some of our infamous annual events include:

  • Curling Fun-spiel - this popular event has emphasis on the word fun and is held in March.  There is a group lesson provided for beginners.  The evening wraps up with dinner and awarding of prizes.
  • Nine and Dine - Scotland is the birthplace of golf (as well as curling) so this is another event hosted each year, usually in May.  This popular event is for golfers of all levels.
  • Canadian Thanksgiving Feast - held in mid-October each year, this proves to be a wonderful evening of great company, food, and fun in beautiful surroundings.
  • Christmas Potluck - held in December, this event proves to be a favourite among our younger members.  Santa makes a guest appearance each year, and fun is always had by all.

Other events and activities are held throughout the year, and change from time to time depending on the interests of membership.  Examples of events include monthly coffee mornings, luncheons, mom and tots outings, book club, dog walking groups, gourmet cooking classes and craft events.
