About CAA

Welcome to the Canadian Association of Aberdeen!

The Canadian Association of Aberdeen (CAA) is a non-profit organization formed for the purpose of promoting friendship among Canadians, and persons interested in Canada residing in the Aberdeen area.  The Association holds various events throughout the year with an aim of helping newcomers settle in, providing support during cultural transition, and fostering friendships.  There are approximately 40 Canadian families who belong to the association and many of our events are family-oriented.

The Executive Committee consists of volunteer committee members who are elected at the Annual General Meeting, which is hosted in April of each year.  Without the support of these volunteers, we would not be able to accomplish the various goals set for our organization.

A beautiful home away from home...

Its easy to see how Aberdeen gets its name "The Granite City."  There are many impressive granite structures, such as the striking gothic Marischal College, the worlds second largest granite structure and a fine example of Aberdeen's most famous export.

Aberdeen and Grampian Highlands has long been renowned for its castles, malt whisky distilleries, golf courses, Royal Deeside and its many historic coastal towns and villages.  With so much to explore, there is something for everyone!
